Alice in Wonderland
Alice in Wonderland
Today's lesson was dedicated to Photoshop activity, related to the theme of "Alice in Wonderland", leading us to gain more skills using this software and improving our competence in work. We followed the instructions attached in the moodle, where we needed to download the images and redraw them in the form of a sketch and transform the work into a color drawing. It was a simple task, however, it helped to become more familiar with the Photoshop program and study the interface, which was a good opportunity.
For the "5 Moments in Wonderland" project, I finally decided in what exact format I want to my project take and what it would include.
1. What sort of Wonderland I might show?
To my mind, I find it and interesting and unusual idea to use both concepts and show both sides of the magical world filled with fantasy, and at the same time presenting darkness and haunting world. For the reason that it was slightly difficult for me to decide what exact Wonderland I want to show, I think it is possible to combine both sides, which will be absorbing and something original to me.
2. What format might my project take?
As a graphic designer, I chose to create 5 book covers for fairytale stories that will be related to the main theme of "5 Moments in Wonderland" . As I mentioned above, I want to show different perspectives of the meaning behind wonderland, for that reason I am planning to chose specific stories, the one's that are dark and thrilling and the one's that are magical and light to correspond with my idea.
3. What ingredients might my project include?
At the first place, I am planning to use Photoshop software to create my book covers. Also, making my own illustrations in Procreate to the books to design the covers related to specific stories. I am going to create a specific palette for my book covers, visualise what illustrations I will be creating, experimenting with different techniques and starting to work on that.
